Meet the Fourth Grade Teacher Mr. George Gonzalez

Hello my name is Robert A Gonzalez. I grew up on the north side of Chicago in the Albany Park area where I went to Our Lady of Mercy for grade school, Gordon Tech High School, and graduated from Columbia College for B.A. in Art in 1990. I finally found my true passion in 2003 and went back to Graduate School, where I earned my Master’s of Education from National Louis University. I have been a teacher for thirteen years at the Junior High level so this marks my first time as a Fourth Grade teacher. What I enjoy most about OLT so far has been the motivation of students to get the education that they deserve and will lead them to great things in the future. I have been amazed at their contagious enthusiasm that they share with me and all the learning that happens every day.
Teaching with a focus on Catholic education has always been rewarding to me and I continue to enjoy sharing and teaching with the students. I am so grateful to be back in school because I believe that school provides not only the best atmosphere for learning but also creates friendships that can last a lifetime. I look forward to seeing how far my current fourth grade class grows as the year unfolds.
